She has held key roles at KPMG, Access Bank Plc, and Global Credit Rating Company Limited (GCR) and is a seasoned business leader. Adekemi was a pioneer in establishing GCR’s Corporate and Public Debt Sector Ratings desk in Lagos and has since grown with the organisation over the last 14 years.

Her sectoral experience includes various segments of manufacturing and service sectors including energy, cement, oil & gas, FMCG, real estate, distributive trade, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, telecommunications, municipals and financial institutions as well as bond ratings and structured finance transactions.

Adekemi served as Chief Ratings Officer, Nigeria from January 2022 to August 2025 and was promoted to the position of Group Head of Fundamentals, GCR Ratings effective September 2025.
