Catherine Awuor is the Head of Marketing & Corporate Communication at UBA Kenya, where she leverages over 15 years of experience in executive and corporate communications, integrated marketing strategies, and brand positioning. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and project management, Catherine is recognized for her curiosity, agility, and creativity. Her commitment to purpose-driven performance is evident in her efforts to craft compelling stories that enhance organizational reputation and impact the bottom line. Passionate about diversity and inclusion, she also creates sustainability roadmaps and develops impact reports, positioning organizations for long-term success.
At UBA Kenya, she spearheaded the bank’s 15-year anniversary campaign and launched the inaugural Braille account opening initiative for visually impaired persons, a first in the Kenyan Banking industry. Under her leadership, the Bank has attained various awards such as the Mentorship and Networking: Banking on Women Awards 2024, Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion award 2025, Excellent in Payments 2025 Award – Connected Banking Summit.
In addition to her professional role, Catherine serves on the board of Supamamas, an initiative dedicated to empowering mothers through support and community building. Her leadership in communications translates into effective advocacy for mothers and their needs, helping to shape the organization’s initiatives and outreach efforts. A member of several professional associations, including the Public Relations Society of Kenya and the Association of Media Women in Kenya, Catherine is also actively involved in mentoring young women through the Girls for Girls (G4G) Network.
