Adaora Ndukwe-Ugwu is a public finance and governance expert with over two decades of experience across the public and private sectors, where she has worked in wealth management, treasury, corporate strategy, banking, infrastructure financing, and public policy.
She currently works in the Nigeria’s Energy Sector, serves as Head of Investment Management at the Midstream and Downstrean Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF), where she leads investment strategy and capital mobilisation to accelerate gas infrastructure development and support Nigeria’s energy transition and economic growth. Prior to this, she was the Technical Adviser , Finance and Investment to the CEO of the NMDPRA, working on large scale public finance, and governance reforms, and supporting organisational restructuring during the PIA 2021-led institutional merger that established the NMDPRA.
She is currently President of the Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association of Nigeria (HKSAAN). Adaora is an AILA Fellow with the US Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), an ICAN Fellow, an ACCA UK Fellow (and winner ACCA Africa CFO Public Sector Award, 2024. She serves pro-bono on a few Boards, including the ACCA Nigeria Advisory Council, Africa Advisory Board Member of Alumnae-i Network for Harvard Women (ANHW), and the Women’s Leadership Institute (WLI).
