Tamara Qwatekana

She is a qualified Mining Engineer with a B-Tech degree from the University of Johannesburg, holds a Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency, and has completed advanced leadership programmes at the University of Pretoria and North-West University.

Qwatekana is also a strong advocate for women empowerment, coaching, and mentorship. As former Chairperson of the South African Colliery Managers’ Association (SACMA) in Limpopo and the Northern Regions, she has been instrumental in nurturing young talent and opening pathways for women in mining leadership.
