Marie-James Sibe is a strategic Operations and Transformation Leader with over 18 years of experience driving execution discipline, operational excellence, and sustained P&L performance across West Africa’s oil and gas sector. She is known for translating strategy into measurable results through governance, cost optimization, and technology-enabled operating models.
Her experience spans the full lifecycle of energy services, including drilling, production, well intervention, and asset integrity. She has led large, multi-site teams, delivering improvements in operational efficiency, reducing cost leakages, accelerating project timelines, and protecting multi-million-dollar revenue streams while strengthening accountability through KPI-driven systems.
She champions governance and data-driven execution, designing operating structures that connect board oversight with field operations and leveraging automation to improve efficiency and visibility. Marie-James holds a PhD and MSc in Engineering Management, is a COREN-registered engineer, and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, ASQ, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
