Mrs. Fatima Haram Acyl is currently the Vice-President of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC), seconding the President in his functions to ensure smooth running of the Commission.
She was previously the Commissioner for Trade and Industry at the African Union Commission (AUC). During her time at the AUC, she championed key elements of Agenda 2063, including preparing for the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA) and establishing the African Minerals Development Centre (AMDC) as an AUC institution. She is steadfastly committed to Africa’s structural transformation and has worked to advance trade, industry, and responsible mineral resource development as fundamental drivers of that transformation.
