Wendy is a multiple Award-winning Journalist, Communications professional, a Chevening Alumna and YALI fellow with a passion for leveraging her expertise to drive meaningful impact for young people, especially vulnerable girls, young women and those from disadvantaged communities.
She is also a UNICEF Menstrual Hygiene Ambassador and the founder of ‘Inspire to Rise’ a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting menstrual health, reducing period poverty and mentoring.
Through her organization, Inspire to Rise, she has partnered with several organizations including Plan International, Cranfield University School of Management Sustainability Group, Futurestars Charity and Trashy Bags Africa to raise awareness on periods and drive action towards improving access to sanitary products for girls and young women in deprived and vulnerable communities. She holds a Master of Science degree in Management and Corporate Sustainability from Cranfield University.
