Natalie Paida Jabangwe is a distinguished fintech leader known for transforming financial inclusion in Zimbabwe during her tenure as CEO of EcoCash. As one of Africa’s youngest fintech CEOs, she led EcoCash from 2014, expanding it into Zimbabwe’s largest financial service with over 9 million users, contributing to 90% of the banking market and 75% of GDP.
Under her leadership, EcoCash processed over $16 billion annually, supporting financial transactions equivalent to more than 70% of Zimbabwe’s GDP. She built a strong network of over 50,000 channel partners and managed a team of more than 200 employees, driving innovation and revenue growth.
Beyond EcoCash, Natalie is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, a UN Women’s Entrepreneurship Day ambassador, and a key member of the UN Secretary General’s Digital Financing Taskforce. She has also been recognized as one of Africa’s emerging economic leaders by Choiseul 100.
